BANGKOK, Thailand (February 20, 2020) — Enapter today appointed the first three advisors of its inaugural Advisory Board. As part of the company’s rapid development, the advisory board will guide the teams in areas of R&D and business. Joining Enapter on its green hydrogen journey are two successful entrepreneurs and one esteemed scientific expert.

Ragnar Kruse

Ragnar Kruse is the CEO at AI Invest GmbH and AI for Hamburg GmbH. Kruse displayed a thirst for entrepreneurship from a very young age, starting his first company aged 19. From there, he founded DTP Partner, one of the largest value-added Desktop Publishing distributors in Europe. In 1996, he led the US operations of Intershop Communications Inc, helping the company to go to IPO — heralded as one of the largest in Europe at that time. Ragnar founded Smaato in 2005, building the company into a leading mobile RTB (Real Time Bidding) Ad Exchange and SSP (Supply Side Platform) with more than 100,000 publishers, 150 Ad Networks and 400 DSPs globally. 2 years after selling to a Chinese Marketing Company he resigned in June 2019 to further progress in the areas in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML).

Oswald Werle

Oswald Werle is currently a member of the Supervisory Board of the Alpega Group, Luxembourg. He started his career at Gebrüder Weiss, the world’s oldest transport and logistics company. After serving as CIO, he founded inet-logistics GmbH, which became one of the few leading global suppliers for cloud-based Transportation Management Software. He ran the company as CEO for 20 years, becoming heavily involved in the expansion to Asia. Oswald lead the M&A process in selling inet. Oswald is an alumnus of the University of St. Gallen (Switzerland) and UC Berkeley (USA).

Prof. Hubert Gasteiger

Hubert Gasteiger is a professor at TUM (Technical University of Munich), where he founded and leads the Chair of Technical Electrochemistry, focusing on lithium-ion battery as well as proton exchange membrane (PEM) fuel cell/electrolyser research. He received his PhD in Chemical Engineering from UC Berkeley in 1993, and held positions at UC Berkeley, Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, and Ulm University. Over 10 years, he led the stack materials development for hydrogen powered fuel cell vehicles at General Motors/Opel in the US. In 2007, he joined Acta S.p.A. (Italy), the predecessor of Enapter, as Director of Catalyst Technology, developing catalysts and electrodes for alkaline fuel cells and electrolysers. In 2009 he was a Visiting Professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), working with Prof. Yang Shao-Horn. Gasteiger is a highly cited researcher, having published 202 refereed articles, 15 book chapters, and 38 patents/patent applications.
