Grid Balancing on the Dutch Island Goeree-Overflakkee
Drawing on 30 AEM Electrolysers, this smart Dutch innovation can boost the energy self-sufficiency of neighbourhoods up to 90%. Get to know Manu and Niels from the Hylife team to learn more about their grid balancing and electricity storage solution which they currently develop and assemble in Eindhoven and plan to set up this summer.

Hylife Innovations from the Netherlands is a company that develops sustainable solutions for the energy transition. Their InnovaHub is a sustainable power station for districts that intertwines energy, mobility and living in an emission-free, safe and almost completely self-sufficient way. In Eindhoven we met Manu and Niels from the Hylife team to learn how they are going to integrate Enapter's AEM Electrolysers in their first pioneering project and will produce decentralised green hydrogen on the Dutch island of Goeree-Overflakkee starting in summer 2023.
About InnovaHub Disctrict
InnovaHub District is a multifunctional power plant which draws on 30 AEM Electrolysers to produce green hydrogen with excess solar energy that will then be stored for seasonal use and provides the associated residential district with the demand for sustainable electricity, heat or cold.
The system will ensure that all energy generation and consumption in the homes and district is utilised as intelligently as possible. The role of hydrogen here is to store energy, act as a buffer for the grid, and promote H2 mobility.
