After the successful deployment of our first AEM Nexus systems in Europe in 2023 and 2024, we have continued refining the design of these modular 0.5 MW and 1 MW electrolyser systems.

The updated AEM Nexus still lets you maximise green hydrogen from intermittent renewables with best-in-class efficiency, built-in stack redundancy, reactivity and operational flexibility.

But it’s now even easier to maintain thanks to an updated design and also simpler to transport due to its reduced footprint of 40ft instead of the previous 52ft extra-sized container.

Wolong Enapter JV unveils China’s first AEM megawatt electrolyser

Wolong Enapter Hydrogen Technologies Ltd, a Joint Venture of Enapter AG and Wolong Electric Group Co., Ltd. have presented the first megawatt-class AEM Electrolyser produced in Shangyu, China. 

The completion and presentation of this 1 MW electrolyser in Shangyu last month marks the beginning of the JV’s series production of AEM Nexus electrolysers for the Chinese market – and Wolong Enapter has already signed several MoUs for the AEM Nexus with companies in China. 

Among them is Concord New Energy Group Limited, which wants to start a pilot project in 2025, as well as the largest Chinese steel manufacturer, Baowu Steel, which plans to further expand its existing green hydrogen production to drive forward the decarbonisation of its processes even more strongly.

Updates from the Enapter software world

H2 Expo Hamburg and Core Partners

Our colleagues recently had a fantastic two days at the Hydrogen Technology Expo Europe in Hamburg: With over 15,000 visitors and a significantly growing international presence, the event proved to be a reflection of the growing hydrogen economy.  

This year’s audience was surprisingly diverse, from private individuals to small businesses and industrial players – a perfect match for our AEM Electrolysers from kW-scale up to MW-range.  

But our strongest impression came from the partnerships:  

Four of our long-standing partners displayed real AEM Electrolysers onsite, another three spread the word about our AEM tech and one traveled all the way from Japan to discuss new projects.  

Our H2 Expo discussions also touched on the launch of our Core Partnerships. Core Partners can order Enapter AEM Electrolyser stacks to construct their own customised AEMpowered electrolysers.
