Hydrogen-based microgrid energy system

Kharagpur West Bengal, India

The Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur is one of the most renowned engineering and research institutions in India. Local partner EDUTEK EQUIPMENTS (I) P.LTD integrated an AEM electrolyser, fuel cell, batteries and capacitors to simulate a microgrid energy system. The AEM electrolyser is being used by IIT in a development project for multi-port DC-DC convertors and to investigate the use of green hydrogen in microgrids. DC-DC converter technology in combination with renewable sources is a key enabler for green hydrogen production via electrolysis. Hydrogen is a key component of the complete microgrid solution based on renewables.
