4 MW-scale AEM electrolysers sold to Italy, new AEM Flex 120 video out and much more
Late March brought the hot news that we had not only received our largest ever order from Europe – for three of our megawatt-class AEM Nexus 1000 electrolysers, in Italy – but also that another Italian customer had also purchased a further AEM Nexus 1000. Quattro in uno!
April 2, 2024
This month, we have fantastic news to share about the biggest AEM Nexus purchase to date – from the ancestral homeland of our AEM technology, Italy! We’ll also be returning to Hannover Messe, where our focus will be on the latest addition to our electrolyser family, the AEM Flex 120. If you’re interested in transitioning to green hydrogen for energy storage, refuelling or industrial gas, then make sure you check out the new AEM Flex 120 product video below. And, if not, read on for more news and green hydrogen use cases.
4 AEM NEXUS electrolysers sold in Italy
Late March brought the hot news that we had not only received our largest ever order from Europe – for three of our megawatt-class AEM Nexus 1000 electrolysers, in Italy – but also that another Italian customer had also purchased a further AEM Nexus 1000. Quattro in uno!
Enapter will supply 3 AEM Nexus to the logistics company CFFT – Logistics SpA. Among other things, the company operates a harbour near Rome. There, Enapter’s multi-core electrolysers will be used in a hydrogen refuelling system and operated with sustainably generated electricity.
F.i.l.m.s SpA, has also ordered a 1 MW AEM Nexus 1000 electrolyser. The metalworking company from the OMCD Group specialises in hard metal parts and will use the green hydrogen from the AEM Nexus to replace fossil fuel-derived hydrogen in its production processes.
Our large-scale AEM Electrolyser container represents a cost-effective alternative to conventional megawatt-class electrolysers. With 420 modular AEM Stacks, it forms a complete multi-core system capable of producing ~450 kg of hydrogen per day.

AEM Flex 120 – streamline your green hydrogen transition
Last year, we launched our AEM Flex 120 electrolyser – a versatile solution enabling the streamlined launch of green hydrogen production for uses ranging from industrial process heat to energy storage.
We’ve just released a fresh product video to spread the word about the Flex 120 and here are five good reasons you should take a minute to watch it:
- Rapid reaction to intermittent renewables
- Excellent uptime with hot-swappable AEM Stacks
- High operational flexibility, from 12% to 100%
- Quick and easy installation (skid mounted)
- Customisable configuration from 70kW to 480kW
For all the details, visit our AEM Flex 120 product page or the Enapter Handbook for more resources.

We look forward to seeing you there in person!
New H2 use cases from our partners
This month, we’ve got a diverse European green hydrogen use cases to share:
Dutch innovators Fundamental Systems have launched a skid-mounted system that uses green hydrogen and oxygen to reduce chemical use and increase yield in agriculture. Drawing on two of our modular EL 4 Electrolysers, each system uses their forced dilution technology to enrich water with dissolved hydrogen and oxygen molecules and nanoparticles that can be absorbed directly by plants. Read more about their solution here.
Joseph Küpper Söhne GmbH, one of the largest building services companies in the Bonn Rhein Sieg region, realised the first commercial building in Germany that supplies itself with heat, cooling and electricity with the help of self-generated green hydrogen. Thanks to the HPS multi-picea system for commercial buildings, featuring Enapter’s AEM technology, their headquarters is energy self-sufficient the whole year round. Take a look at their new video here.

Enapter awarded Deloitte Technology Fast 50 Award
Enapter was awarded the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 Award, confirming its status as one of Germany’s fastest-growing technology companies. Each year, the consulting and auditing firm Deloitte awards the 50 fastest-growing companies in the tech sector, based on their percentage revenue growth over the past four fiscal years.
And we’re thrilled to announce that Enapter ranked in the top third of the list with a growth rate of +1,479% over the past four years, and +114% alone in 2023. The key to this success was the efficient distribution and continuous advancement of Enapter’s patented AEM technology at the forefront of the hydrogen electrolysis field.
We want to say thank you for the part you play in enabling this success. Onwards and upwards!
