Enapter at Hannover Messe
  • Showcasing the new AEM Electrolyser EL 4.0, which enables companies to simply and swiftly replace fossil fuels with a one-size-fits-all green hydrogen generator
  • Hannover Messe gives decision-makers a chance to learn more about AEM green hydrogen technology, including the megawatt-scale AEM Multicore Enapter exhibition booth in hall 13, booth C56 (Hydrogen & Fuel Cells Europe exhibition)

Berlin, May 27, 2022. The electrolyser manufacturer Enapter (WKN A255G0) will exhibit at Hannover Messe 2022 (Hall 13, booth C56) from 30 May. Enapter’s solutions fit perfectly with the 2022 motto “Industrial Transformation”: Its next-generation AEM Electrolyser EL 4.0 is a one-size-fits-all solution for green hydrogen production – and the next step in replacing fossil fuels. In addition, Enapter will be previewing the AEM Multicore, its container-based megawatt solution for industrial hydrogen production, and showcasing its EMS Toolkit software solution.

Enapter is an innovative energy technology company that manufactures highly efficient hydrogen generators to replace fossil fuels and thus drive the energy transition and the industrial transformation globally. The patented and proven Anion Exchange Membrane (AEM) technology enables mass production of low-cost plug-and-play green hydrogen electrolysers at any scale. The modular systems are already used in 49 countries in industry, energy and mobility.

The standardised modules can be stacked and combined for projects of any size – all the way to the megawatt-scale, where Enapter’s upcoming MW-scale system, the AEM Multicore, comes into play based on identical AEM stack technology. Enapter’s technology combines the benefits of alkaline electrolysers’ low-cost materials (steel instead of titanium) with the flexibility and compact size of PEM electrolysers. Its EL 4.0 is the fourth generation AEM Electrolyser Enapter has developed since 2017 – and the new version is smaller, lighter and ISO 22734 certifiable.

For industrial companies that need large quantities of green hydrogen, the AEM Multicore is particularly suitable: From 2023, it will take Enapter into the megawatt class by combining 420 AEM stacks in a standard container. These modules, connected in series, can produce about 450 kilograms of hydrogen per day. That is the energy equivalent of 9.5 barrels of crude oil. Thanks to the modular approach, the Multicore is a cost-effective and low-maintenance alternative and responds flexibly to the fluctuating energy supply from renewable energy sources. Enapter’s electrolysers flexibly adapt to the different requirements as well as the fluctuation ranges of renewable energy sources such as solar and wind. They thus form the perfect interface for achieving industrial transformation as well as decarbonization – and thus a rapid shift away from fossil fuels.

Enapter will also present its software energy management solution, the EMS Toolkit. It unlocks user-friendly energy system management and simple integration of 3rd party energy devices thanks to its Blueprint Marketplace for low-code, open-source integration blueprints – as well as offering mobile and web apps for control on the go and on-site HMI.

With their product approach, Enapter enables partners worldwide to launch their hydrogen projects. Their clientele ranges from developers of hydrogen aircraft to companies producing green ammonia in scalable quantities, developers of microgrid solutions in remote regions and much more.
