We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer (m/f/d) to join our mechanical engineering team in Pisa, Italy. You will be an integral part of the development process and will have a wide range of technical challenges to tackle. Be ready for a dynamic environment!

What role will you play in building a green hydrogen future?

  • Design, development, assembly and validation of mechanical components for AEM stacks and other devices
  • Creation and management of 3D models and 2D drawings
  • Analysis and selection of materials, manufacturing processes to optimisze performance and cost of components
  • Design reviews of mechanical parts and assemblies
  • Prepare engineering calculations, specifications and other technical documentation
  • Creation and management of BOM in our ERP system (SAP)
  • Support testing, industrial engineering, production, quality and purchasingand aftermarket teams

What do you need to help make our goals a reality?

  • Master’s degree in aerospace/mechanical engineering or equivalent field
  • At least 2 years of experience as  mechanical design engineer
  • Good knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials

  • Knowledge of MS Office pack
  • Experience in rapid prototyping (3D printing), surface treatments and FEM simulations would be considered a plus

Mechanical Engineer – FEM Analyst (m/f/d) | Pisa, Italy

We’re seeking an FEM analyst to further develop and optimize our products. Are you passionate about running simulations and have you already gained meaningful experience in finite element analysis?   • Perform FEM/FEA simulations for the development of electrolyser and AEM stack components  and lead their mechanical optimization
  • Oversee and enable the rapid prototyping of new components

What do you need to help make our goals a reality?

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in mechanical modelling (FEM/FEA) using Ansys
  • At least 4 years of experience in the following topics is a big plus:
    • Non-linear analysis
    • Contact formulation
    • Hyperplastic and viscoelastic-plastic material
    • Sealings (o-rings and gaskets) in pressurized systems
  • Knowledge of CAD (Autodesk Inventor preferred) and other FEA software (Nastran, Abaqus, COMSOL etc.) is a big plus
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills in both Italian and English

We’re looking for an Engineering Manager (m/f/d) to strengthen our product and system development. In this role, you’ll report directly to the COO of the company and will lead various teams which are considered a pillar of our technical business area. Additionally, you’ll play an integral role in the development process and will tackle a wide range of technical challenges. Are you ready for a dynamic environment?   • Ensure on-time market readiness of new products and smooth handover to production

  • You must have a strong technical background and be able to provide technical oversight and guidance to the engineering teams
  • At least 10 years of working experience in the engineering field, with proven industrial experience in product development. Experience in automotive or mass-manufacturing environments is a plus
  • At least 5 years of experience in leading engineering teams, especially in fast-paced environments
  • Hands-on approach with proven process-oriented background
  • Excellent knowledge of engineering principles (e.g. design to manufacturing, product lifecycle management, project management) as well as industrial test system setup
  • Being able to develop new ideas and transform them into practical and measurable deliverables

We’re looking for an R&D Testing Manager (m/f/d) to join and lead our testing team on electrolyser and stack development and validation in Pisa, Italy. Your future team is considered a pillar of the technical business area and you’ll play an integral part of the development process for our AEM electrolysers.   • Coordinate a highly interdisciplinary team of engineers and technicians with various backgrounds to complete validation activities within deadlines
  • Review test plans and test reports to ensure timely delivery of sound documentation
  • Report to the Head of R&D on testing activities, results and follow-up actions
  • Actively contribute to product development with your knowledge and close attention to the functional requirements
  • Support Quality and Technical Service departments on internal NCs and tailored customer troubleshooting

  • At least an MSc in Engineering disciplines, with sufficient knowledge of chemistry and electrochemistry matters
  • At least 7 years of working experience in the Engineering field, with proven industrial experience in R&D departments. Experience in the commissioning of large plants and systems is a plus
  • Previous experience in people management, ideally in a fast-paced environment
  • Hands-on approach to closely oversee experiment runs in which both mechanical and electrical components are used in electrochemical systems
  • Excellent knowledge of engineering principles (thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid mechanics, mechanical and electrical principles) as well as industrial test rig setup, experience with pressurized gases will be a plus
  • Advanced Software knowledge in MS Office, Jira (opt.), Python
  • Ability to develop new ideas and transform them into practical and measurable deliverables

As a Service Technician in our Pisa service team, you’ll have the opportunity to work on hydrogen production sites around Europe and the rest of the world, provide specialised construction services to project teams, as well as perform and continuously improve our standard product repair processes.

  • Installation, maintenance, and repair of gas generator equipment, ensuring safety and optimal functionality
  • Assemble and support project deliverables for internal teams and construct specialized systems
  • Commission Enapter devices onsite, conduct site acceptance tests, and document system maintenance and testing procedures
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to create instructions for project service and routine repair activities
  • Help maintain our working relationships with our service partners, and support their training and onboarding

What do you need to help make our goals a reality?

  • Ideally service work experience in the oil and gas industry
  • Technical aptitude and interest in machinery; relevant technical education, such as electrician or mechanic, is a plus
  • Ability to lift heavy equipment and work under physically demanding conditions
  • Frequent travel (around 50% of the time) and adaptability to different work environments
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, detail-oriented approach, and ability to interpret engineering drawings
  • Comfortable using a computer and experienced in the use of standard office tools
  • Experience in installation, commissioning, service or maintenance of complex machines or plants
  • Knowledge of safety procedures, risk evaluation, and compliance with safety measures and guidelines for onsite work

We’re looking for a R&D Testing Engineer (m/f/d) to join our team on electrolyser and stack development and validation in Pisa, Italy. You’ll be an integral part of the development process and will have a wide range of technical challenges to tackle. Be ready for a dynamic environment!

  • Hands-on approach to running experiments in which both mechanical and electrical components are used in energy conversion systems
  • Excellent knowledge of wide engineering principles (thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid mechanics, mechanical and electrical principles)
  • Good knowledge of industrial sensors, data acquisition and communication protocols
  • Good knowledge of mechanical components and assemblies
