We are looking for a Thermal Energy Engineer in our R&D centre in Pisa. You will be an integral part of the development process and will have a wide range of technical challenges to tackle. Be ready for a dynamic environment!    

 

Tasks

  • Work in synergy with other team members to organise and complete various thermal design projects 
  • Assist with the selection, analysis, and development of various components to optimise for performance and cost 
  • Develop 0D-1D Heat transfer / thermodynamics / fluid dynamics analysis on device or systems 
  • Define and execute experimental tests to verify thermal designs 
  • Predict, collect, analyse and report test results by understanding system and component design and requirements, thermal dynamic concepts 
  • Provide input to FMEA and risk assessments 
  • Supporting production and aftermarket 

Your profile

  • Master’s degree in energy / mechanical engineering or equivalent 
  • Expertise in thermodynamics and fluid dynamics 
  • Basic understanding of engineering design principles and machine design 
  • Design or analysis of energy system: piping, heating system, HVAC, CHP or equivalent system 
  • Understanding of devices with heat transfer and multiphase fluids 
  • Good English communication skills 
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as: Matlab, Python, Modelica would be advantageous
