We are looking for an experienced, detail-oriented engineer to lead our technical safety and certifications efforts within our product design and engineering project teams. The position is a permanent, full time position. The ideal location is Berlin, Germany, or Pisa, Italy, but we will consider any location that permits frequent travel and sufficient face time to our offices. 

Tasks: 

  • Ensure product development according to relevant codes and standards 
  • Develop safe blueprints and overall system designs incorporating Enapter’s products in projects around the world 
  • Lead product certification process with internal and third-party stakeholders 
  • Share your knowledge – train your colleagues and Enapter’s system integration partners on relevant standards and safe practices 

Your profile: 

  • Enthusiasm for the role of hydrogen in tomorrow’s world and Enapter’s role in it 
  • Previous experience in a safety engineering function with hydrogen is essential
  • Significant experience in CE product certifications according to machinery, EMC, LVD directives is essential
  • Knowledge of device safety, familiar with PED, ATEX, ISO12100 and IEC 61508
  • Background in product or process safety from chemical, automotive or relevant field 
  • Significant experience in product certifications according to machinery directive, CE-marking 
  • Significant experience in safety and risk management (risk assessments, FMEA, HAZOP, HAZID) 
  • Attention to detail, very skilled at organisation and documentation 
  • Able to present relevant safety concepts publicly, ideally in both English and German 
  • Willing to relocate to Enapter locations in Italy or Germany
