See allGreen hydrogen generation for Japanese construction sector
Tokyo, Japan
As one of the major Japanese construction companies, Obayashi Corporation focusses more and more on renewable energy sources for their projects. To provide their customers with an efficient energy management system, green hydrogen will play an increasingly important role. That’s why our local integration partner Mikuni Kikai Kogyo Co. Ltd. has installed a demo hydrogen generation system at Obayashi Technology Research Institute in Tokyo, supplied by a 6 kWp solar array and commercial grid electricity. In addition to a PEM system of the same size, two of our AEM EL 4 electrolysers in combination with Enapter’s Dryer 2.1 allow Obayashi to produce up to 1 Nm3/h of green hydrogen at 99.999% purity and 0.8 MPaG (8 bar). The locally-produced hydrogen is then stored in a 32 Nm3 storage tank at 8 bar and can be reconverted to electricity using their 4.4 kW fuel cell.
